Hotchner Festival features aspiring playwrights 

Three aspiring playwrights will present staged readings of their works Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1 and 2, as part of the 2010 A.E. Hotchner Playwriting Festival. The festival consists of a two-week workshop that culminates in the staged readings. This year’s workshop is led by Allison Horsley (right) of the University of Denver. FULL STORY

HHT conference adds childrens component

The Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) Foundation’s 15th Annual Patient and Family conference will be held Oct. 22-24 at the Eric P. Newman Education Center. The event brings together specialists to provide education and support for HHT patients and their families. FULL STORY

  • Women’s golf competes in Midwest Shootout. The women’s golf team shot a 336 to tie for fifth place at the rain-shortened Midwest Shootout Sept. 26 at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill. Freshman Andrea Hibbert continued strong play after firing a team-best 79 to finish in sixth place. Hibbert has recorded four straight rounds under 80 and lowered her average to 79.5.
